Product Description

The CROUSE HINDS EIDB is a non-fused, explosion-proof disconnect switch enclosure rated at 100 amps. It ships without a switch installed, allowing field selection of the appropriate switching device for the application. The enclosure is constructed from copper-free aluminum, which resists corrosion while keeping weight manageable. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install this enclosure in classified hazardous locations where flammable gases, vapors, or dusts may be present. The EIDB is part of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds EID series, designed to contain any internal ignition and prevent it from reaching the surrounding atmosphere.
