The CRESCENT CDDS65N is a deep hand socket designed for heavy-duty fastener work where standard-depth sockets cannot reach. Built from alloy steel with a nickel chrome plated finish, it accepts a 1/2 inch drive and fits 1-1/16 inch fastener heads. The 6-point hex drive style delivers full surface contact on fastener flats, reducing the risk of rounding under high torque. At 3.27 inches in overall length, the deep profile clears recessed studs, long bolts, and deeply countersunk fasteners that would otherwise require extensions or workarounds. This socket is SAE-dimensioned and meets ASME B107.1-2002 standards. It is suited for automotive, mechanical, and HVAC service where fastener access is limited by depth.
The CDDS65N is appropriate for residential and light commercial mechanical work, including equipment installations, structural fastener service, and general trade use. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors will find the deep well profile useful when driving hex fasteners on equipment frames, flange bolts, and threaded rod assemblies. The tether-capable design supports tool accountability programs used in facilities maintenance and commercial service environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard deep hand socket for use with 1/2 inch drive tools on 1-1/16 inch SAE hex fasteners in mechanical trade applications.
Install and remove with a calibrated torque wrench or breaker bar rated for 1/2 inch drive. Inspect the socket for cracks or wear before each use and do not use damaged sockets under load. Always ensure the socket is fully seated on the fastener before applying torque to prevent slippage. This tool is not insulated and must not be used on energized electrical components.
