The CRC 1007897 is a high-temperature synthetic grease formulated with graphite, molybdenum disulfide, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) for use in demanding friction and heat environments. Supplied in a 2.5 oz tube, it delivers an NLGI Grade 2 consistency and handles a maximum temperature of 450 degrees F with a minimum rated temperature of -50 degrees F. The black-colored compound resists breakdown under thermal cycling and mechanical load, making it a reliable choice for automotive, HVAC, and industrial service technicians who need a grease that stays in place under extreme conditions.
This grease is rated for brake and caliper applications, where high heat, moisture exposure, and metal-to-metal contact are routine service conditions. It is suitable for use by automotive service technicians, HVAC service pros working with fan and motor bearing assemblies, and mechanical contractors maintaining equipment subject to elevated operating temperatures. The synthetic base with PTFE thickener provides lubrication continuity where petroleum-based greases would fail or migrate.
Designed for brake and caliper lubrication and other high-temperature mechanical contact points where an NLGI Grade 2 synthetic grease with PTFE, graphite, and molybdenum disulfide is specified.
Apply only to clean, dry surfaces free of old grease residue, corrosion, or debris. Follow all applicable safety data sheet guidance when handling synthetic lubricants, including use of nitrile gloves and eye protection. For brake system applications, ensure the vehicle is fully supported on approved stands and the system is depressurized before service. Apply sparingly to contact surfaces to avoid contaminating friction materials.
