The CRC 1003728 is a mass air flow (MAF) sensor cleaner formulated to remove contamination from MAF sensor wires and housings without leaving residue. It ships in an 11 oz aerosol can and delivers a fast-evaporating, colorless spray that cleans delicate sensor surfaces safely. The formula carries a 95.0% VOC content and is classified as flammable, so proper ventilation is required during use. Automotive technicians and fleet maintenance professionals reach for this cleaner when diagnosing rough idle, poor fuel economy, or fault codes tied to MAF sensor contamination. The Advanced Cozol Technology formula is designed to restore proper air-fuel ratio readings and recover lost horsepower.
This cleaner is intended for vehicle maintenance applications where MAF sensor performance has degraded due to oil film, dust, or other airborne contaminants that coat the sensing element. It is suitable for use on hot-wire and hot-film style MAF sensors found in fuel-injected gasoline engines. Technicians working in general automotive, fleet, or light-duty truck service will find it fits routine preventive maintenance as well as diagnostic workflows. The aerosol format allows precise, controlled application directly onto the sensor element without disassembly of the intake tract beyond what is needed to access the sensor.
Designed for use on mass air flow sensors in fuel-injected gasoline-powered vehicles requiring MAF sensor maintenance or diagnostic cleaning.
This product is applied by qualified automotive technicians. Before cleaning, disconnect the MAF sensor electrical connector and remove the sensor from the intake pipe per the vehicle service procedure. Apply the cleaner in a well-ventilated area away from open flame or ignition sources — the formula is flammable. Allow the sensor to dry completely before reinstalling and reconnecting the electrical connector.
