The CRC 1003446 is a non-flammable electrical contact cleaner in a 16 oz aerosol can with a net fill of 14 oz. It delivers a dielectric strength of 20,500 volts, making it safe to use on energized equipment where residual moisture or contamination can cause arcing or tracking. The fast-evaporating liquid formula removes grease, flux, oil, and dust from sensitive electrical components without leaving a residue. It is safe for most plastics and insulators, so technicians do not need to mask or disassemble plastic-bodied components before cleaning. Electricians, HVAC technicians, and electronics service professionals use this product for routine maintenance and field service work.
This contact cleaner is suited for both residential and commercial electrical service applications. It is designed for use on buss bars, circuit breakers, contacts, edge connectors, electromechanical assemblies, sensors, generators, motors, printed circuit boards, relays, switches, tape heads, plastics, insulators, and telecommunication equipment. Its non-flammable, low-VOC formulation makes it appropriate for use in enclosed service environments where flammable solvents present a safety concern. The ethereal fragrance dissipates quickly after application.
Formulated for use on buss bars, circuit breakers, contacts, edge connectors, electromechanical assemblies and sensors, generators, motors, PCs, plastics and insulators, printed circuit boards, relays, switches, tape heads, and telecommunication equipment.
Application should be performed by a qualified electrician or service technician following applicable NEC guidelines and site safety procedures. Although the formula is non-flammable and rated for energized equipment, always confirm equipment voltage is within the rated dielectric strength limit before applying to live circuits. Hold the can upright, apply in short bursts, and allow the solvent to fully evaporate before returning equipment to service. Wear appropriate PPE including safety glasses when working with aerosol solvents in confined areas.
