The CRATEX 8804 M is a rubber-bonded silicon carbide abrasive stick in an oblong profile, designed for hand deburring, honing, and surface conditioning on a range of materials. At 8 inches long, 1 inch wide, and 0.5 inches thick, it provides a comfortable grip and enough contact area for controlled material removal. The medium grade silicon carbide abrasive is embedded in a rubber binder, which gives the stick some flexibility and helps it conform slightly to the work surface. Licensed tradespeople and shop technicians use this type of stick for touch-up work and precision deburring where a rigid stone would be too aggressive.
This abrasive stick is suited for use on glass, metal, and stainless steel. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, maintenance environments, and field service situations where technicians need to clean up burrs, smooth weld seams, or condition edges on stainless steel components. The oblong cross-section makes it practical for flat surfaces and shallow grooves. Its size and construction make it a good fit for both bench work and hand-held field applications.
Designed for use on glass, metal, and stainless steel surfaces as an oblong hand abrasive stick for deburring, honing, and surface finishing applications.
This stick is used by hand or in a fixture - no power tools required. When working on metal or stainless steel, ensure the workpiece is secure before applying pressure to avoid slipping. Use appropriate personal protective equipment including eye protection and gloves when deburring metal edges. Keep the stick dry and store it away from solvents that may degrade the rubber binder.
