The CRATEX 778 KITS is a 68-piece rubber abrasive point test set designed for precision surface finishing, deburring, and polishing on metal, ceramic, and composite materials. The kit includes mounted rubber abrasive points in three shapes - cylinder, bullet, and tapered - along with point mandrels to mount them on a rotary tool or die grinder. The rubber bond construction allows the points to conform slightly to contoured surfaces, making them well-suited for detail work in tight or irregular geometries. The complete set gives machinists, toolmakers, and metalworkers a broad selection of profiles in a single package.
This test set is intended for use in machine shops, toolrooms, and precision manufacturing environments where a variety of point geometries are needed for evaluation or production finishing work. The assortment covers the most common mounted point profiles, making it practical for initial trials across multiple applications before committing to a specific point style in larger quantities. It is appropriate for use with standard rotary tools and die grinders that accept mandrel-mounted abrasive points.
Designed for use with rotary tools and die grinders that accept mandrel-mounted abrasive points. Mandrels included are No. 4 and No. 6 point mandrels.
Mounted rubber abrasive points are installed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Before mounting or changing points, power down and de-energize the rotary tool or die grinder completely. Ensure the mandrel shank diameter is compatible with the tool collet before operation. Do not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the mounted point for the tool being used.
