The CRATEX 75502 is a rubberized abrasive mounted point designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal, carbide, and hard alloy workpieces. Built around an aluminum oxide abrasive matrix in a medium grade formulation, this point delivers consistent stock removal with a self-dressing action that resists loading. The W185 shape code identifies the geometry - a cylindrical profile measuring 0.5 inches in maximum diameter and 0.5 inches thick - making it well suited for accessing internal bores, cavities, and contoured surfaces. A 0.125-inch shank mounts directly into a standard die grinder or rotary tool collet.
This mounted point is used in toolroom, maintenance, and production finishing applications where a controlled, smooth surface finish is required without aggressive material removal. Typical applications include cleaning up weld beads, refining die cavities, deburring drilled holes, and blending sharp edges on ferrous and non-ferrous parts. Its compact geometry fits tight inside diameters and recessed features that larger wheels cannot reach. Machinists, tool-and-die makers, and maintenance technicians across metalworking and fabrication environments are the primary installers and users of this type of tooling.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use abrasive mounted point for die grinders and rotary tools accepting a 0.125-inch shank collet, rated at or above 22,500 RPM.
Installation is performed by machinists or maintenance technicians familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 22,500 RPM rated maximum before mounting. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten to the tool specification before operating. Inspect the point for cracks or damage before each use and discard any point showing signs of deterioration.
