The CRATEX 75413 is a rubberized abrasive point used for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal and other hard materials. Formed in shape code W145, this mounted point measures 0.125 inches in maximum diameter and 0.375 inches in thickness, with a 0.125-inch shank diameter for use in standard rotary tools and die grinders. The abrasive material is aluminum oxide at a medium grade with a 70 grit rating. The rubber bond cushions cutting action, reducing chatter and allowing finer surface control than vitrified points. Machinists, tool-and-die workers, and metal fabricators reach for this style when working in tight bores, slots, or contoured recesses.
This rubberized abrasive point is suited for bench-top and handheld rotary tool applications where controlled material removal and surface blending are required. Typical uses include deburring drilled holes, cleaning weld seams, smoothing cast surfaces, and refining internal contours on ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. The compact W145 profile fits into restricted areas where larger wheels cannot reach. It is commonly used in machine shops, metal fabrication facilities, and maintenance environments requiring fine finishing work.
Designed for use with rotary tools and die grinders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter collet. Suitable for grinding and finishing applications on ferrous metals, non-ferrous metals, and similar hard materials.
This abrasive point is installed by inserting the shank into a compatible collet on a die grinder or rotary tool and tightening securely before operation. Always inspect the point for cracks or damage before mounting and do not operate above the rated speed for the tool in use. Wear appropriate eye protection and ensure the workpiece is secured before beginning grinding or finishing work. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and tool manufacturer guidelines when changing or operating mounted abrasive points.
