The CRATEX 4707 C is a rubberized abrasive point in a cone shape, designed for precision grinding, deburring, and surface finishing on metal and other hard materials. It measures 0.875 inches in maximum diameter and 1.75 inches in length, with a 0.25-inch arbor hole for use with a rotary tool, die grinder, or similar spindle-driven equipment. The abrasive medium is silicon carbide at a coarse grade (60 grit), making it effective for aggressive stock removal and initial surface prep. This is an unmounted point, supplied as a single unit. It is rated for a maximum spindle speed of 20,000 RPM.
This rubberized abrasive cone point is suited for use in metalworking, tool and die, maintenance, and fabrication applications where controlled grinding or deburring is required on inside diameters, contoured surfaces, and hard-to-reach areas. The flexible rubberized bond conforms slightly to irregular surfaces, making it useful for finishing work on castings, weld seams, and precision components. Machinists, tool and die makers, and maintenance technicians commonly use this type of point for fine-detail grinding tasks.
Designed for use with rotary tools, die grinders, and spindle-driven equipment accepting a 0.25-inch arbor hole. Suitable for grinding and finishing metal, carbide, ceramics, and similar hard materials where silicon carbide abrasive is appropriate.
This abrasive point is installed by inserting the arbor hole onto a compatible 0.25-inch spindle or mandrel and securing it according to the tool manufacturer's instructions. Always verify that the tool's rated RPM does not exceed the 20,000 RPM maximum before operating. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable shop safety guidelines when using rotary abrasive points. Inspect the point for cracks or deterioration before each use and do not operate damaged abrasive accessories.
