The CRATEX 206 C is a 2-inch diameter surface grinding wheel designed for precision deburring, polishing, and surface finishing on metals and other materials. Built with a silicon carbide abrasive and a rubber bond, this wheel delivers controlled, consistent stock removal with a degree of flexibility not found in vitrified or resinoid wheels. At 3/8 inch thick with a 1/4 inch arbor hole, it mounts easily on standard bench grinders, die grinders, and rotary tools. Rated to 10,500 RPM, it handles high-speed applications while maintaining wheel integrity. The coarse grade makes it effective for aggressive material removal in the early stages of a finishing workflow.
This wheel is suited for light industrial, maintenance, and fabrication applications where surface quality matters. Typical uses include removing corrosion, heat marks, tarnish, and excess solder, as well as deburring sharp edges and smoothing scratches on metal workpieces. The rubber bond construction gives the wheel slight give, reducing the risk of gouging on contoured or delicate surfaces. It is commonly used by machinists, maintenance technicians, jewelers, and metalworking tradespeople who need a reliable, small-diameter finishing wheel for bench or handheld rotary work.
Designed for use in deburring, corrosion removal, excess solder removal, heat mark removal, polishing operations, rust removal, scratch removal, smoothing, and tarnish removal applications on bench grinders, die grinders, and rotary tools with a 1/4 inch arbor and a maximum spindle speed of at least 10,500 RPM.
Always power down and unplug the grinder or rotary tool before mounting or removing a grinding wheel. Verify that the tool spindle speed rating meets or exceeds the 10,500 RPM maximum rating marked on the wheel before operation. Use the correct arbor adapter if needed to achieve a secure, centered fit on the 1/4 inch hole. Inspect the wheel for chips or cracks before each use and replace if any damage is found.
