The CRATEX 204 M is a small-diameter surface grinding wheel designed for precision deburring, polishing, and surface finishing work. Built with a silicon carbide abrasive and a rubber bond matrix, it delivers controlled material removal with a degree of flexibility that harder vitrified wheels cannot match. The medium grade abrasive makes it well suited for general-purpose stock removal and surface conditioning without aggressive cutting action. Rated to 10500 RPM, this wheel measures 2 inches in diameter, 1/4 inch thick, and accepts a 1/4 inch arbor. It weighs 0.08 pounds, making it easy to mount on bench grinders, die grinders, or rotary tools used in finishing applications.
This wheel is used across metalworking, electronics assembly, and light fabrication environments wherever fine surface work is required. Typical applications include removing corrosion, heat marks, and tarnish from metal surfaces, cleaning excess solder from circuit board areas, smoothing scratches, and general deburring of ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces. It is commonly used by machinists, maintenance technicians, electronics assembly workers, and general fabricators who need a compact, controllable finishing wheel for bench or handheld rotary tool setups.
Designed for use in corrosion removal, deburring, excess solder removal, heat mark removal, polishing operations, rust removal, scratch removal, smoothing, and tarnish removal applications on tools and equipment accepting a 1/4 inch arbor wheel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with abrasive wheel safety. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 10500 RPM rating of this wheel before mounting. Power down and disconnect the grinder or rotary tool from its power source before changing wheels. Inspect the wheel for cracks or chips before each use and never operate a damaged abrasive wheel.
