The CRATEX 158 XF is a small-diameter surface grinding wheel designed for precision finishing, deburring, and surface conditioning on metal and other materials. Built with a silicon carbide abrasive and a rubber bond matrix, this wheel delivers controlled, consistent material removal at an extra fine grade. The rubber bond provides a degree of flexibility that reduces gouging and helps produce smooth surface finishes. Rated to 15000 RPM, this wheel is suitable for use with high-speed rotary tools and die grinders. At 1.5 inches in diameter and 0.5 inches thick, it is sized for detail work in tight areas where larger wheels cannot reach.
This wheel is intended for light to moderate surface conditioning tasks across a range of applications including corrosion removal, rust removal, heat mark removal, tarnish removal, excess solder removal, deburring, polishing operations, smoothing, and scratch removal. The extra fine grit grade makes it appropriate for finishing passes rather than aggressive stock removal. It is typically used by machinists, welders, metal fabricators, and maintenance technicians working on ferrous and non-ferrous metal surfaces. The 0.25-inch arbor hole is compatible with standard rotary tool mandrels and small die grinders.
Suitable for use in corrosion removal, deburring, excess solder removal, heat mark removal, polishing operations, rust removal, scratch removal, smoothing, and tarnish removal applications. Fits rotary tools and die grinders accepting a 0.25-inch arbor.
Install this wheel on a rotary tool or die grinder rated to handle the 15000 RPM maximum speed of the wheel. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the wheel rating before operating. Power down and disconnect the tool before mounting or removing the wheel. Wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B11 safety standards for abrasive wheel use.
