The CRATEX 1345 M is an unmounted rubberized abrasive point in a taper shape, designed for precision deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal and other hard materials. It measures 7/8 inches maximum diameter by 1-1/4 inches in overall length and is bonded with silicon carbide abrasive at a medium grade (60 grit). The 1/4 inches arbor hole accepts standard mandrels used with die grinders, flexible shaft machines, and rotary tools. This type of point is a standard consumable for tool and die makers, machinists, and finishing technicians who need controlled material removal in tight or contoured areas.
Rubberized abrasive points like the CRATEX 1345 M are used in light-to-moderate stock removal, edge blending, and polish-preparation work on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, carbide, ceramics, and hardened steels. The taper profile allows access to angled surfaces, inside contours, and recessed features that flat or cylindrical points cannot reach. This part is sold as an individual unmounted point and is a standard fit for production shops, maintenance facilities, and precision grinding applications.
Designed for use with standard 1/4 inches arbor mandrels on die grinders, flexible shaft machines, and rotary tools commonly used in machining and finishing applications.
Installation is performed by machinists or finishing technicians using a compatible 1/4 inches mandrel. Verify the drive tool is rated at or above the point maximum RPM of 20000 before mounting. Power down and disconnect the drive tool before seating or removing the abrasive point from the mandrel. Inspect the point for cracks or unusual wear before each use and replace if damaged.
