The CRATEX 1 XF is a small-diameter surface grinding wheel designed for precision cleaning and polishing work on metal and hard surfaces. Built with a silicon carbide abrasive bonded in a rubber matrix, this wheel delivers consistent, controlled material removal with an extra fine grade finish. At 3/8 inches in diameter and 3/32 inches thick, it fits compact rotary tools and precision grinding applications where tight tolerances matter. Rated to 25,000 RPM, it suits high-speed tool setups common in tool-and-die, jewelry, and fine metalwork environments. The rubber bond provides a degree of flexibility not found in vitrified or resinoid wheels, helping reduce surface chatter on delicate workpieces.
This wheel is suited for bench-top and handheld rotary tool use in light industrial, maintenance, and precision fabrication settings. Its extra fine grit makes it appropriate for finishing passes, burr removal, surface prep before inspection, and light polishing on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The green coloration is consistent with silicon carbide abrasive identification. No recess geometry simplifies mounting on standard arbors and mandrels. Sold in packages of 100 units, making this SKU practical for shops that go through small abrasive wheels at volume.
Designed for use with rotary tools and precision grinding equipment accepting a 1/16 inch arbor hole. Suitable for cleaning and polishing applications as specified by the manufacturer.
Installation and use of abrasive wheels should follow ANSI B7.1 safety standards and the tool manufacturer's guidelines. Always power down and disconnect the rotary tool before mounting or removing any abrasive wheel. Confirm the tool's rated spindle speed does not exceed the 25,000 RPM maximum rating of this wheel before operation. Inspect each wheel for cracks or damage before mounting; do not use damaged abrasive wheels.
