The CPC COLDER PRODUCTS PMCD1702 is a female inline hose barb-to-female socket coupling designed for fluid handling and transfer applications. Built from acetal (POM) with a Buna-N o-ring, this shutoff-style coupling connects tubing with a 1/8 inch inside diameter and a 1/8 inch nominal flow size. It handles a maximum working pressure of 120 psi and operates across a wide temperature range of -40 to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for demanding industrial and process environments. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid system assemblers install this fitting in low-flow lines where a reliable push-to-connect or barb-style shutoff coupling is required.
The PMCD1702 is used in inline fluid lines where small-diameter tubing must be connected and disconnected without tools or where a secure barb-to-socket termination is needed. Its shutoff valve design prevents fluid spillage during disconnect, which is valuable in chemical dosing, coolant distribution, and process fluid control systems. It is rated for both low-temperature and elevated-temperature service, covering a broad range of residential and light commercial applications. The compact acetal body resists many common chemicals and solvents encountered in process and HVAC fluid circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style inline coupling for 1/8 inch ID tubing in fluid transfer and process line applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or fluid systems technician. Depressurize and drain the fluid line fully before removing or installing any coupling. Verify that tubing inside diameter matches the 1/8 inch barb size before assembly to ensure a secure, leak-free connection. Follow applicable codes such as IPC or system manufacturer guidelines when integrating into pressurized fluid circuits.
