The CPC COLDER PRODUCTS PLCD1000412 is a polypropylene inline threaded female socket coupling designed for quick-disconnect fluid handling applications. It features a 1/4 NPT male thread and a 1/4-inch nominal flow path, making it a compact shutoff-style fitting suitable for low- to medium-pressure liquid lines. An EPDM O-ring provides the primary sealing surface, offering good resistance to water-based fluids and a range of chemicals. Rated to 120 psi maximum working pressure, this coupling handles operating temperatures from 32 degrees F to 160 degrees F. Plumbers, industrial technicians, and fluid-system installers use this type of fitting where a reliable threaded connection point and inline shutoff function are required.
This coupling is suited for residential and light commercial fluid distribution systems, cooling lines, and process plumbing where a 1/4 NPT male threaded entry point is needed. The inline configuration allows it to be installed directly in a fluid line without offset routing. The shutoff valve function means flow is interrupted when the coupling is disconnected, reducing spillage during service. Typical applications include chilled water circuits, equipment cooling loops, and laboratory or light industrial plumbing assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for fluid handling systems requiring a 1/4-inch nominal flow, 1/4 NPT male inline threaded female socket coupling with shutoff function.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed plumber or qualified fluid-systems technician. Depressurize and drain the fluid line completely before removing or installing any coupling. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the NPT threads in accordance with IPC guidelines and the fitting manufacturer recommendations. Do not exceed the 120 psi rated working pressure or the 160 degrees F maximum temperature limit under any operating condition.
