The CPC COLDER PRODUCTS MCD2203 is a brass quick disconnect hose barb valved inline coupling insert designed for fluid line applications requiring fast, reliable connections and disconnections without tool use. Built for the MC Series, this insert features an internal valve that closes automatically upon disconnect, preventing fluid loss and contamination. The chrome-plated brass construction provides corrosion resistance in wet or chemically aggressive environments. It is rated to 250 psi maximum pressure and handles a temperature range of -40 to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial and trade fluid handling systems.
This coupling insert is sized for 3/16 inch inside diameter tubing via a hose barb connection, making it a practical choice for low-volume fluid lines in HVAC, refrigeration, laboratory, medical equipment, and light industrial plumbing applications. The inline valved design is especially useful in systems where lines need to be broken and reconnected regularly without draining or depressurizing the entire circuit. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals are the typical installers of this type of fitting.
The MCD2203 is part of the CPC COLDER PRODUCTS MC Series quick disconnect system. Designed as an OEM-style valved insert for use with compatible MC Series coupling bodies in fluid handling assemblies.
Installation is typically performed by a plumber, HVAC technician, or industrial maintenance professional. Before servicing or replacing any inline coupling, depressurize and drain the fluid line to avoid pressure release or spillage. Ensure the hose barb is fully seated and secured with an appropriate clamp to prevent pull-off under system pressure. Verify that all materials in the assembly are chemically compatible with the fluid being conveyed before placing the line back into service.
