The CPC COLDER PRODUCTS MCD1704 is a push-to-connect coupling body designed for quick, tool-free tube connections in fluid-handling systems. Constructed from chrome-plated brass, this non-valved, free-floating coupling body accepts 1/4-inch inside diameter tubing and is rated to 250 psi. It is suitable for a wide range of general-purpose pneumatic and liquid applications where a reliable inline connection is needed. The nitrile O-ring seal accommodates operating temperatures from -40 degrees F to 180 degrees F, making it practical for both cold and moderate-heat environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and fluid-system technicians typically install this fitting during equipment assembly or service.
The MCD1704 is intended for general-purpose use in residential and light commercial fluid or pneumatic systems. Its push-to-connect design allows fast field installation without threading tools or compression hardware. The chrome-plated brass body resists corrosion and handles standard shop-air and water-line pressures. This coupling is well-suited for equipment panels, instrument lines, cooling circuits, and similar low-to-moderate pressure tube runs where a secure, repeatable connection point is required.
Designed for general-purpose tube-fitting applications using 1/4-inch inside diameter tubing in pneumatic, water, or light fluid systems.
Installation is typically performed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, or fluid-system technicians. Depressurize and drain the line fully before disconnecting or installing any push-to-connect fitting. Ensure the tubing end is cut cleanly and squarely and that the outside diameter is free of burrs or scoring before insertion to maintain a proper O-ring seal. Verify that working pressures and fluid compatibility are within the rated limits of the fitting before placing the system back in service.
