The COXREELS SHWL-N-160 is a spring-driven welding hose reel from the SHW Series, engineered to manage bulky twin-line welding hose in demanding shop and industrial environments. Built on a larger chassis and frame than compact P-W Series units, it accommodates longer hose runs and incorporates the Coxreels Super Hub dual axle support system for increased stability, reduced vibration, and greater structural integrity. The reel accepts 1/4-inch ID hose up to 60 feet and is constructed of steel throughout. A CPC powder coat finish resists chips and rust for extended service life. Licensed HVAC, welding, and mechanical contractors rely on this unit for fixed and vehicle-mount installations.
The SHWL-N-160 is suited for welding gas distribution in residential shops, commercial fabrication facilities, and service vehicle applications. The multi-position guide arm adjusts to accommodate wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations, making it a flexible choice for a wide range of install scenarios. The external dual-ported brass swivel allows both gas line connections to be made from the same side of the reel, eliminating the need to dismount the unit for hose or fitting changes. This reel is intended for professional installers and service technicians working with twin-line welding hose assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit reel for twin-line welding hose assemblies with 1/4-inch ID hose up to 60 feet. Part of the COXREELS SHW Series, which shares mounting dimensions and swivel configurations across the series lineup.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with welding gas distribution systems and applicable codes. Shut off all gas supply valves and relieve line pressure before disconnecting or connecting hose and fittings. Verify that the mounting surface is rated to support the reel weight of 61 pounds plus hose load before securing the base. Inspect swivel seals and hose connections for leaks using an approved leak-detection solution after placing the system back in service.
