The COXREELS SDHL-200 is a static discharge cable reel designed for use in combustible and flammable environments where uncontrolled static buildup poses an ignition risk. Part of the COXREELS SDH Series, this reel carries 200 feet of 7-strand by 7-wire galvanized steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover. The hand crank drive provides direct manual retraction without a spring mechanism. The unit is built on a one-piece steel base with a single pedestal support post and features CNC robotically spun and ribbed discs with rolled edges for structural strength and operator safety. Licensed electricians, fuel system technicians, and plant maintenance crews are the primary installers.
The SDHL-200 is intended for industrial and commercial settings where static grounding is required before or during fuel transfer, solvent handling, or other operations involving flammable materials. Common deployment includes bulk fuel dispensing stations, tank farms, fleet maintenance facilities, and mobile service vehicles. The multi-position aluminum guide arm adjusts to accommodate wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations, giving installers flexibility across fixed and mobile installations. This reel is commonly paired with fuel hose reels in applications where both static dissipation and fluid delivery are needed at the same station.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation static discharge cable reel for combustible-environment applications; commonly paired with fuel hose reels at dispensing and transfer stations.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or instrumentation technician familiar with static grounding requirements and applicable codes such as NFPA 77 for static electricity control. Power down or de-energize associated equipment before mounting and connecting the grounding cable. Ensure the mounting surface and anchor hardware are rated for the reel weight and expected cable tension. Verify continuity of the grounding path after installation before placing the station into service.
