The COXREELS SD-75-1 is a spring-driven static discharge cable reel built for use in combustible environments where uncontrolled static buildup presents a fire or explosion hazard. Constructed from steel with a CPC powder coat finish, this reel houses 75 feet of 7-strand by 7-wire stainless steel cable with a high-visibility orange vinyl cover. A cartridge-style motor that is fully enclosed and lubricated keeps maintenance straightforward even in demanding field conditions. Weighing 31 pounds and measuring 14.5 inches long by 6.75 inches wide by 16 inches tall, it is sized for practical installation on single-pedestal bases in fixed or mobile service setups. Licensed HVAC technicians, fuel system service professionals, and industrial maintenance crews are the primary installers.
This reel is designed for combustible-environment applications where static grounding is required before or during fuel transfer, chemical dispensing, or similar operations. It is commonly paired with fuel hose reels at refueling stations, fleet service bays, and similar fixed or vehicle-mounted installations. The multi-position guide arm adjusts for wall, floor, ceiling, and vehicle mounting configurations, making it adaptable across a wide range of service environments. The included 50-amp grounding clamp connects the cable to the equipment or tank being bonded.
Designed as an OEM-style static discharge and grounding reel for use in combustible environments; commonly paired with fuel hose reels in fleet, industrial, and mobile refueling applications.
Installation should be performed by a qualified technician familiar with grounding and bonding requirements for flammable or combustible environments. Consult applicable NFPA and local codes before mounting. Ensure all power and fuel flow to the system is shut off and the area is confirmed free of ignition sources before beginning installation or cable maintenance. Do not modify the cable, clamp, or grounding path in any way that could compromise the continuity of the static discharge circuit.
