The COOPER INTERCONNECT e1016-575 is a Cam-Lok J Series angle-style female terminal connector rated for up to 400 amperes continuous and 600 VAC/VDC. It accepts cable sizes from 2 AWG to 4/0 AWG and features a brass contact with an elastomeric rubber insulator in black. The angle construction routes the cable at a perpendicular offset from the mating axis, making it practical in tight panel or distribution equipment installations. Rated for NEMA 3R environments, this connector suits both indoor and outdoor temporary power applications. Licensed electricians and power distribution technicians install this product on portable power cables, generator sets, and temporary power distribution equipment.
The e1016-575 is designed for temporary power distribution systems where cam-type connectors are the standard interface. Typical applications include construction site power distribution, rental generator hookups, entertainment industry power runs, industrial maintenance bypass setups, and other locations where fast, tool-free connect and disconnect under load is required. The single-pole, angle-body configuration is commonly deployed when cable routing needs to change direction close to a panel face or distribution box.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or expansion connector within the Eaton Crouse-Hinds Cam-Lok J Series E1016 product family. Compatible with standard Cam-Lok cam-type connector mating interfaces rated at 400A and 600V.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before terminating or inspecting the connector. Strip and insert the conductor to the correct depth before tightening the set screw, and verify the cable jacket is seated fully inside the strain relief body. Do not exceed the maximum cable size or voltage rating stamped on the connector body.
