The COOPER BUSSMANN T-30 is a plug-style time delay fuse rated at 30 amps and 125 volts, designed for use in standard screw-type fuse holders in residential and light commercial electrical panels, load centers, and equipment disconnect boxes. With an interrupting capacity of 10 kA RMS symmetrical, the T-30 provides reliable overcurrent protection while tolerating harmless inrush currents from motors, compressors, and transformers without nuisance opening. The plastic fuse body measures 2-1/4 inches in diameter. Electricians and HVAC technicians use this fuse type as a direct replacement in applications where time delay characteristics are required to accommodate starting loads.
The T-30 is suited for residential service panels, equipment disconnects, and branch circuits where a Type T plug fuse is specified. Time delay fuses in this class are commonly installed in circuits feeding single-phase motors, refrigeration compressors, air handlers, and similar inductive loads that draw elevated starting current. This fuse fits standard Edison-base fuse holders rated for the T-fuse form factor. Its two-element construction distinguishes it from standard one-time fuses and allows it to ride through brief overload conditions while still clearing dead shorts quickly.
Designed for use in standard screw-base plug fuse holders accepting Type T time delay fuses rated 125 volts and 30 amps.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code). Always disconnect and lock out power to the panel or fuse holder before removing or installing a fuse. Verify that the replacement fuse amperage and voltage ratings match the circuit requirements exactly — never install a fuse with a higher amperage rating than the circuit is designed to carry. Confirm the fuse holder is rated for the Type T plug fuse form factor before installation.
