The COOPER BUSSMANN LP-CC-7 is a Class CC time delay cartridge fuse rated at 7 amps, designed for general-purpose overcurrent protection in industrial and commercial control circuits. It delivers a 200 kA interrupting rating at AC (RMS) and 20 kA at DC, making it suitable for applications where high fault-current capacity is required. The dual-element, time delay construction allows the fuse to absorb normal motor-inrush and transformer-magnetizing currents without nuisance opening, while still responding quickly to sustained overloads and short circuits. Licensed electricians and industrial maintenance techs install this fuse as part of a coordinated protection scheme in fuse holders rated for Class CC fuses.
The LP-CC-7 fits standard Class CC fuse holders and is commonly used in motor control centers, control panels, HVAC equipment control circuits, and machine tool applications where compact, high-interrupting-capacity fusing is specified. Its cartridge body measures 1.5 inches in length with a 10.3 mm diameter, conforming to Class CC dimensional standards that prevent substitution with lower-rated fuse classes. This part is sold individually but must be ordered in multiples of 10 per manufacturer minimum order requirement.
Designed for use in Class CC fuse holders. Class CC fuses conform to a standardized dimensional envelope that restricts the installation of physically larger, lower-interrupting-rated fuse classes in the same holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. Always de-energize and lockout/tagout the circuit before replacing fuses. Verify the fuse holder is rated for Class CC fuses and that its voltage and ampere ratings meet or exceed circuit requirements. Do not substitute a different fuse class or ampere rating without engineering review of the protection coordination.
