The COOPER BUSSMANN GMF-1 is a glass cartridge time-delay fuse rated at 1 amp and 300 volts, designed for low-current circuit protection in control and instrumentation panels. The time-delay characteristic allows it to absorb brief inrush currents without nuisance tripping, while still opening quickly under sustained overload conditions. The glass body provides visual confirmation of a blown fuse without removing it from the holder. This fuse measures 2.25 inches in overall length with a 15.9 mm diameter and weighs approximately 0.03 pounds. It is installed by licensed electricians and HVAC technicians in fuse holder mounts on control boards, HVAC equipment, and light industrial control circuits.
The GMF-1 is suited for residential and light commercial applications where small-amperage, time-delay fusing is required. Common installation scenarios include low-voltage control circuits, transformer secondary protection, and instrumentation panels requiring a non-rejecting, cartridge-style fuse. The non-rejecting design allows it to seat in standard open-style fuse holders without polarity or orientation restrictions.
Designed as a time-delay cartridge replacement fuse for standard fuse holders accepting a 15.9 mm diameter, 2.25-inch cartridge fuse. Non-rejecting body fits open-style and standard clip-type fuse holders used in HVAC control panels and light industrial equipment.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements for overcurrent protection. Always de-energize and verify the circuit is voltage-free before replacing any fuse. Confirm replacement fuse amperage, voltage rating, and physical dimensions match the original before seating in the holder. Do not substitute a higher-amperage fuse to bypass tripping — size the fuse to the circuit protection requirement.
