The COOPER BUSSMANN FNQ-R-3 is a Class CC time delay cartridge fuse rated at 3 amps, designed for branch circuit and control circuit protection in industrial and commercial electrical systems. The CC rejection feature prevents substitution with lower-rated fuse classes, maintaining system integrity. Measuring 1.5 inches in overall length and 10.3 mm in diameter, the FNQ-R-3 mounts in a standard CC fuse holder and carries a 200 kA interrupting rating at AC RMS, making it suitable for high-fault-current environments. Licensed electricians and controls technicians install this fuse in motor control centers, HVAC control panels, and similar low-amperage branch circuit applications.
The FNQ-R-3 is a general-purpose time delay fuse intended for use in residential, commercial, and light industrial control circuits where temporary inrush currents must be tolerated without nuisance opening. The time delay characteristic allows motor starting surges and transformer inrush to pass while still providing overload and short-circuit protection. It mounts in any standard Class CC fuse holder and is particularly common in HVAC control panels, low-voltage transformer secondary circuits, and machine control wiring.

Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or replacing fuses. Use an insulated fuse puller appropriate for CC-class cartridge fuses. Verify that the replacement fuse amperage and class match the circuit requirements before re-energizing.
