Product Description

The COOPER BUSSMANN FNQ-R-25 is a time delay cartridge fuse rated at 25 amps in the CC fuse class. It is designed for general purpose overcurrent protection in branch circuit and control circuit applications. The CC class body features a rejection setting that prevents the installation of non-CC fuses in the same holder, reducing the risk of incorrect field substitutions. With a 200 kA interrupting rating at AC RMS, this fuse handles high fault currents common in commercial and industrial electrical panels. Licensed electricians and controls technicians are the primary installers.

This fuse is suited for low-voltage control circuits, motor control centers, HVAC equipment control panels, and similar applications where time delay characteristics are required to ride through motor inrush or transformer inrush currents without nuisance opening. The CC class form factor is common in residential and light commercial HVAC systems as well as industrial control enclosures. Its cartridge body installs into a standard CC-rated fuse holder.

Compatibility

Designed for use in standard CC-rated fuse holders. The rejection-style body is compatible only with CC class fuse holders and blocks, preventing installation in holders intended for other fuse classes.

Installation Notes

Installation and replacement should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing a fuse. Verify that the fuse holder or block is rated for CC class fuses before installation. Do not attempt to substitute a fuse of a different class, ampere rating, or interrupting rating in the same holder.
