The COOPER BUSSMANN FNQ-R-1 is a Class CC time delay cartridge fuse rated at 1 ampere. It is designed for use in rejection-style CC fuse holders and provides overcurrent protection with a time delay characteristic, allowing brief inrush currents to pass without nuisance opening. The fuse body measures 1.5 inches in length and 10.3 mm in diameter. It carries UL 248-4 Class CC listing, CSA Class CC certification, CE marking, and RoHS compliance. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians install this fuse as a protective element in low-voltage control circuits, motor branch circuits, and industrial control panels.
The FNQ-R-1 is suited for residential and commercial applications where Class CC rejection fuse holders are specified. Its time delay rating makes it appropriate for motor load circuits and control transformers where momentary inrush current would otherwise cause a standard fuse to open. It fits standard CC-class fuse holders designed to reject non-CC fuses, preventing substitution with lower-rated devices. This fuse is commonly installed in HVAC control panels, fan coil units, and light commercial electrical equipment requiring compact, high-interrupting-capacity overcurrent protection.
Designed for use in rejection-style Class CC fuse holders. The CC rejection ferrule design prevents installation in non-CC fuse holders, ensuring proper protection coordination in circuits requiring Class CC devices.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Use an approved fuse puller when servicing live or recently energized fuse holders to avoid contact with energized components. Verify the replacement fuse amperage and class match the circuit requirements exactly before restoring power.
