The COOPER BUSSMANN BP/FNM-10 is a Type FNM time delay cartridge midget fuse rated at 10 amps and 250 volts. This two-pack carded fuse is designed for low-amperage overcurrent protection in control circuits, HVAC equipment, and small motor applications where a brief inrush current must be tolerated before the fuse interrupts a sustained overload. The time delay characteristic distinguishes it from fast-acting fuses, making it the appropriate choice for motor-start and transformer circuits. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians are the primary installers of this fuse type.
The FNM midget fuse series is a common fuse type found in residential and light commercial HVAC control panels, small motor control centers, and electrical distribution equipment that requires a Class CC-style midget fuse holder. The carded two-pack format is suited for field service technicians who keep spare fuses on a service truck or in a parts inventory. Applications include fan motor circuits, control transformer secondary protection, and similar low-current branch circuits.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for standard Type FNM midget fuse holders used in residential and light commercial HVAC, motor control, and electrical control panel applications.
Installation of branch circuit fuses must comply with applicable NEC requirements for the circuit being protected. Always de-energize and lock out the equipment before replacing a fuse. Use an appropriately rated fuse puller when removing cartridge fuses from a live-rated holder to avoid contact with energized components. Verify that the replacement fuse amperage and voltage rating match the original equipment specifications before restoring power.
