The CONTINENTAL CONTITECH 20041969 is a Section A V-belt designed for power transmission applications in HVAC, industrial, and mechanical drive systems. Built from Wingprene rubber-impregnated fabric, this belt carries the A44 designation with an outside length of 46.2 inches and an internal length of 45.30 inches. It is rated for a maximum working temperature of 140 degrees C and a minimum working temperature of -40 degrees C, making it suitable for demanding service conditions. The HY-T Matchmaker style ensures consistent performance and compatibility with standard A-section sheaves and pulleys. HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors are the typical installers.
This V-belt is used in residential and light commercial HVAC systems, blower assemblies, fan drives, compressor drives, and general mechanical power transmission equipment that requires a Section A belt profile. The A44 size is a common replacement in belt-driven air handling units, condensing units with belt-drive fans, and industrial machinery using standard A-section sheave configurations. Its heat-resistant and oil-resistant construction makes it well suited for equipment rooms and mechanical spaces where elevated temperatures or airborne lubricants are present.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement V-belt for equipment requiring a Section A, A44-designation belt with standard A-section sheave and pulley configurations.
Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Disconnect and lock out electrical power to the equipment before removing the old belt or accessing the drive assembly. Inspect sheaves and pulleys for wear, misalignment, and debris before installing the new belt. Do not force the belt over sheave flanges using tools that could cut or nick the fabric; always release belt tension by adjusting the motor mount before installation.
