Built with Fiber-Reinforced Vytracord construction, this belt delivers reliable flex and load capacity under demanding operating conditions. The cogged profile reduces bending resistance, which improves efficiency and reduces heat buildup compared to a standard wrapped belt. It carries an outside length of 69 inches and an internal length of 67.80 inches, making it the BX66 belt designation. HVAC technicians, millwrights, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers of this belt type.
This belt is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC systems, agricultural equipment, compressors, fans, blowers, and general industrial drive setups that use BX-section sheaves. The Torque-Flex style construction handles dynamic loads and high-speed applications where standard belts may slip or wear prematurely. Belt replacement should be performed by a qualified HVAC technician or mechanical contractor. Never force a belt onto a sheave using a pry bar, as this can damage the cord structure and reduce belt life. Adjust drive center distance to achieve proper tension according to the equipment manufacturer's specifications, and re-check tension after the first few hours of operation.
