The Comtran Cable Part Number 4228 is a 14 AWG 2-conductor fire alarm cable. It is designed for use in power-limited fire-protective signaling circuits. This cable features two solid bare copper conductors and is insulated with Comflex Plenum PVC. The insulation has a nominal wall thickness of 0.009 inches. The conductors are cabled together in a left-hand lay and protected by a red Comflex Plenum PVC jacket with a nominal wall thickness of 0.014 inches, which includes a parallel rip cord.
