The COMNET CLFE1EOC is a single-channel Ethernet over coax (EoC) device that extends IEEE 802.3 Ethernet and Power over Ethernet signals across existing coaxial cable infrastructure. It is designed for installations where running new Cat5e or Cat6 cabling is impractical or cost-prohibitive. The unit functions as a PoE extender, allowing network connectivity and device power to reach IP cameras, access control readers, and similar endpoints over coax runs already in place. Licensed technicians and low-voltage integrators working in security, surveillance, and network infrastructure installations are the primary installers of this device.

The CLFE1EOC is suited for residential and commercial retrofit projects where existing RG59 or similar coaxial cabling is being repurposed for IP-based systems.
