The COLLIS TOOL 81102 is a Series 75 AF collet designed to hold workpieces and tooling with shank diameters ranging from 13/64 to 7/32 inch. It measures 1.131 inches in overall diameter and 2.02 inches in overall length. Collets in this series are precision-machined to provide consistent gripping force and accurate tool runout, making them a standard choice for CNC machining centers, milling machines, and similar rotating-spindle equipment. Installation and removal are performed by machinists and toolroom technicians as part of routine tooling changeovers.
The 81102 collet is suited for shop environments where close-tolerance workholding is required. Its capacity range of 13/64 to 7/32 inch accommodates a narrow band of shank sizes, making it appropriate for dedicated tooling setups where that diameter range is consistently used. It is a single-unit item typically stocked alongside other Series 75 collets for quick changeover on compatible spindle systems.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or supplemental collet for Series 75 AF spindle tooling systems that accept a 1.131-inch diameter collet body.
Collet installation and removal should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully de-energized and locked out per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the collet bore and spindle taper for chips or debris before seating. Do not force the collet into the spindle; a properly sized collet will seat smoothly by hand before the drawbar or nut is tightened. Torque the collet closure to the machine manufacturer's specification using the appropriate spanner wrench.
