The CODA RESOURCES 507092 is a schedule 40 galvanized steel close nipple designed for threaded pipe assemblies in water, air, and approved decorative piping applications. Measuring 3/4 inch nominal diameter and 4.5 inches in length thread to thread, this nipple is pre-cut and comes with standard IPS male threads on both ends. The steel pipe body is hot-dip galvanized in a zinc bath for corrosion resistance. It meets NSF 61 certification, is lead-free, and is compliant with ASTM and ASME standards. Each piece has been hydrostatically tested before leaving the factory, making it a reliable choice for potable water and industrial piping systems.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, gas-free water distribution, compressed air lines, and pipe decor installations where code-compliant threaded steel fittings are required. The 3/4 inch nominal size is one of the most common sizes in residential supply lines and branch connections. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers, and the standard IPS thread pattern ensures compatibility with any code-approved threaded fittings, valves, and couplings of the same nominal size.
Designed for use with standard IPS-threaded fittings, couplings, valves, and other schedule 40 threaded pipe components at 3/4 inch nominal size. Suitable for water, air, and decorative piping applications within applicable plumbing code requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) where applicable. Shut off and depressurize the water or air supply before removing or installing any threaded pipe components. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly — do not overtighten, as this can crack fittings. Verify that all connected fittings and valves are rated for the intended service pressure and fluid type.
