The CLIMAX METAL PRODUCTS M2C-07-S is a two-piece clamp-style shaft collar machined from stainless steel. Shaft collars are mechanical components used to secure, space, or limit the movement of rotating or stationary shafts in power transmission assemblies. The clamp design applies even radial pressure around the shaft without requiring a setscrew, reducing the risk of shaft marring. With a 0.75 inch outside diameter and a lightweight profile at 0.027 pounds, the M2C-07-S is suited for precision assemblies where corrosion resistance and clean fitment matter. Licensed technicians and machine assemblers working on HVAC, pump, or motor-driven equipment commonly install this type of collar during shaft assembly or maintenance.
The M2C-07-S is appropriate for light- to medium-duty shaft positioning applications in residential and commercial mechanical systems. The two-piece clamp construction allows installation and removal without disassembling adjacent components along the shaft, making it useful in tight or already-assembled drive trains. Typical applications include motor output shafts, fan assemblies, pump impeller shafts, and conveyor or blower drive systems where corrosion resistance from stainless steel construction is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shaft collar for use in mechanical assemblies requiring a 0.75 inch OD two-piece clamp collar in stainless steel.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed mechanic, HVAC technician, or pump technician. De-energize and lock out the drive system before working on any rotating shaft assembly per applicable OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Ensure the shaft surface is clean and free of burrs before seating the collar. Torque the clamp fasteners evenly to ensure uniform radial grip without distorting the collar bore.
