The CLEVELAND C73463 is a jobber-length drill bit sized to wire gauge No. 35, with a decimal diameter of 0.1100 inches. Manufactured from high-speed steel (HSS) with a bright uncoated finish, it features a 118-degree split point and a web-thinned, tapered web configuration that reduces thrust on entry and improves chip evacuation. The regular spiral flute with two flutes provides efficient material removal in metals and non-ferrous materials. At 2-5/8 inches overall length with a 1-1/2-inch flute length, this bit fits standard drill chucks and is sized for precise, repeatable hole drilling in production and maintenance applications. It meets NAS 907 Type A standards and is rated heavy duty grade.
This bit is suited for drilling aluminum and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials in light industrial, aerospace maintenance, and general trade applications. The straight-cylindrical shank with a 0.1100-inch shank diameter fits standard keyless and keyed drill chucks without modification. The jobber-length format makes it practical for bench drill presses, hand drills, and drill motors used by machinists, HVAC technicians, electricians, and sheet metal workers needing consistent small-diameter hole placement.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1100-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Primary workpiece material listed by the manufacturer is aluminum. Conforms to NAS 907 Type A standards, making it suitable for applications requiring specification-controlled tooling.
This bit is installed and used by machinists, sheet metal workers, and trade technicians operating hand drills or drill presses. Secure the straight-cylindrical shank firmly in a keyed or keyless chuck before operation. Use appropriate cutting fluid or lubricant when drilling metals to extend bit life and maintain hole tolerance. Inspect the cutting edges and point for wear or chipping before each use, and replace the bit if the point geometry is compromised.
