The CLEVELAND C64108 is a high speed steel interrupted thread pipe tap designed to cut 1/8-27 NPTF tapered pipe threads in metal workpieces. The interrupted thread geometry reduces cutting friction and chip packing, making it well suited for tapping blind or deep holes in tough ferrous materials. This tap features a plug chamfer with 4 flutes and a regular hook angle, providing controlled chip flow during the threading operation. This tap is intended for use in alloy steel, tool steel, and carbon steel workpieces requiring a sealed tapered pipe thread connection.
