The CLEVELAND C41219 is a double-end, four-flute square end mill manufactured from high speed steel (HSS). It is designed for milling operations including slotting, profiling, and side milling on machining centers and manual mills. The cutter measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.375-inch length of cut and a 5.0-inch overall length. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accepts standard end mill holders and collet chucks. A 30-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote chip evacuation and cutting efficiency across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in production and job-shop environments.
The C41219 is suited for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it appropriate for pocketing and ramping operations in addition to peripheral milling. The double-end configuration extends tool life by providing two usable cutting ends before replacement. The uncoated HSS construction makes it a practical general-purpose choice for lower-speed applications and materials that do not require coated carbide tooling. It belongs to the Cleveland HD-4C series, which is intended for heavier-duty milling work within the HSS end mill category.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and collet chucks accepting a 0.625-inch straight shank with Weldon flat. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel, per Cleveland HD-4C series specifications.
Installation is performed by machinists using standard end mill holders or collet chucks. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before mounting or changing tooling. Confirm proper shank seating and holder torque per the machine tool manufacturer guidelines before beginning a cut. Do not exceed the recommended cutting parameters for HSS tooling in the workpiece material being machined.
