The CLEVELAND C33806 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high speed steel with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish, it delivers improved wear resistance and surface hardness compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The 0.1875-inch cutting diameter pairs with a 7/16-inch length of cut and a 3/8-inch straight-cylindrical or Weldon flat shank. A 30-degree helix angle and two-flute spiral configuration promote efficient chip evacuation. This tool is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces without pre-drilling. It is intended for use in manual mills, CNC machining centers, and knee mills where precise slot or profile milling is required.
The C33806 is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals such as aluminum and copper alloys, and general-purpose steel. Its regular-length profile and 2-3/8-inch overall length make it a practical choice for standard-depth slotting, profiling, and step milling operations in job shop and production environments. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match conventional spindle rotation, making it compatible with the widest range of manual and CNC milling equipment.
Designed for use in standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and Weldon-flat set-screw holders on manual knee mills and CNC vertical machining centers. Suitable for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Ensure the shank is fully seated in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before tightening. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after tool installation to maintain dimensional accuracy and extend tool life.
