The CLEVELAND C33803 is a square end mill engineered for precision milling in metalworking applications. Manufactured from high speed steel with a TiCN (titanium carbonitride) finish, this tool offers improved wear resistance and surface hardness compared to uncoated HSS. It features a 0.125 inch mill diameter, a 0.375 inch length of cut, and a 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat for secure tool holding. The 30-degree spiral flute geometry and two-flute design promote efficient chip evacuation. Centercutting capability allows for direct plunge entry into the workpiece. This end mill is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators working in job shop and production environments.
The C33803 is suited for milling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its regular length designation and compact 0.125 inch diameter make it appropriate for finishing passes, slot milling, and profile work in tight geometries. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional vertical milling setups. The HG-2 series designation places this tool within a general-purpose high speed steel end mill line designed for broad material compatibility at moderate cutting speeds.
Designed for use in standard milling machines and CNC machining centers accepting a 0.375 inch shank. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel as specified by the manufacturer for the HG-2 series.
This end mill is installed and changed by machinists or CNC operators. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the Weldon flat securely against the set screw in the tool holder to prevent axial pullout during cutting. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards for tool holding torque and runout inspection before operation.
