The CLEVELAND C33676 is a double-end, two-flute square end mill designed for general-purpose milling in machine shop and production environments. Manufactured from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) finish, it measures 0.625 inches in diameter with a 1.125-inch length of cut and a 5-inch overall length. The TiN coating increases surface hardness and reduces friction at the cutting edge, extending tool life in demanding applications. The centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cuts. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC operators on vertical mills, knee mills, and machining centers.
The C33676 belongs to Cleveland's HD-2 series and is suited for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its spiral flute design with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation during slotting, profiling, and contouring operations. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw style toolholders. The double-end configuration provides two usable cutting ends, offering additional value in high-volume or job-shop settings where tool changeover frequency is a factor.
Designed for use in standard end mill holders and Weldon flat toolholders on vertical and horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers. Rated for cutting cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces.
Installation and operation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with rotary cutting tool safety. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is locked out before changing tooling. Verify that the Weldon flat is properly seated against the set screw in the holder to prevent axial pull-out under load. Follow the machine manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for high speed steel end mills at the given diameter and workpiece material.
