The CLEVELAND C33625 is a 4-flute, single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Manufactured from high speed steel (HSS) with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) finish, this tool delivers extended wear resistance and reduced friction in demanding cutting applications. The spiral flute geometry runs in a left-hand cut, left-hand flute configuration, making it well-suited for specific fixturing setups where conventional right-hand tooling is not practical. At 0.75 inches in diameter with a 1.625-inch length of cut and 3.875-inch overall length, the C33625 fits standard 3/4-inch collet and toolholder systems commonly found in vertical and horizontal milling machines.
This end mill is intended for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel workpieces. The left-hand cut and flute direction make it a specialty tool typically selected when climb milling on left-hand spindles or when managing workholding forces in specific machining center configurations. The regular-length profile keeps it stable under moderate material removal rates. It is suitable for production shops, toolrooms, and job shops running conventional knee mills or CNC machining centers where an HSS TiCN-coated tool is appropriate for the material and cutting condition.
The C33625 belongs to the CLEVELAND HG-4LL series and is rated for primary workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. It fits 3/4-inch collet chucks and Weldon-flat toolholders. Confirm spindle rotation direction before use, as this is a left-hand cut tool.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the Weldon flat shank in a properly sized toolholder and torque set screws per the toolholder manufacturer's specification. Verify spindle direction is left-hand rotation before engaging the cut, as running this tool on a standard right-hand spindle will not produce a cutting action and may damage the tool or workpiece. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each setup.
