The CLEVELAND C33211 is a 4-flute, square-end, single-end mill designed for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from high speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, it delivers improved surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated HSS tooling. The cutter measures 5/8 inch in diameter with a 1-3/8 inch length of cut and a 1/2 inch straight-cylindrical shank with a Weldon flat for secure tool holding. A 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in manual and CNC milling applications.
The C33211 is suited for milling operations on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel in both job shop and production environments. Its regular-length profile fits standard milling chucks and collet holders accepting a 1/2 inch shank. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for most vertical and horizontal milling setups. The HG-4C series designation places this tool in a consistent product family that machinists can reorder by series when standardizing tooling across setups.
Compatible with milling machine collet chucks, end mill holders, and Weldon-style tool holders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece materials include cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard tool-holding procedures. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the cutter. Seat the Weldon flat against the set screw in the end mill holder and torque to the holder manufacturer's specification. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut to protect both the tool and the workpiece.
