The CLEVELAND C33054 is a double-end, 4-flute square end mill manufactured from high speed steel (HSS), designed for material removal and finishing operations on milling machines and machining centers. It features a 13/16-inch (0.8125 inch) cutting diameter with a 1-7/8-inch length of cut, a 7/8-inch straight-cylindrical shank with Weldon flat, and a 6-1/8-inch overall length. The right-hand cut, right-hand spiral flute geometry and 30-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation. Centercutting capability allows the tool to plunge directly into a workpiece. This end mill is uncoated and suited for production and job-shop environments where tooling is regularly reconditioned.
The C33054 is rated for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel. Its regular-length geometry and double-end design make it a practical choice for general-purpose peripheral milling, slotting, and profiling operations in both manual and CNC mill setups. The HD-4C series targets demanding cutting applications where a rigid, heavy-duty 4-flute configuration is required. Machinists working in job shops, tool rooms, and production facilities will find this end mill appropriate for a wide range of roughing and semi-finishing passes.
Designed for use in standard 7/8-inch end mill holders, Weldon-flat collet chucks, and side-lock holders on vertical or horizontal milling machines and CNC machining centers. Primary workpiece materials are cast iron, non-ferrous metals, and steel.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and engage the set screw against the Weldon flat to prevent axial pull-out under load. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, and confirm cutting speeds and feeds are appropriate for the workpiece material and machine rigidity.
