The CLEVELAND C32660 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for milling operations in demanding metalworking environments. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating, this end mill handles high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and carbon steel with reliable tool life. The cutting diameter measures 0.4063 inches (13/32 inches), with a 1.75-inch length of cut and a 3-ring spiral flute geometry at a 30-degree helix angle. It is centercutting, allowing both plunge and peripheral cutting. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in production or job shop environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, pockets, and profile cuts in high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and general steel workpieces. The long-series HGC-4C designation provides extended reach compared to stub-length variants, making it appropriate for deeper cavity work where standard-length tools fall short. The straight cylindrical shank with Weldon flat accommodates standard end mill holders and set-screw style toolholders with a 3/8-inch shank bore. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match conventional CNC and manual milling machine setups.
Fits standard 3/8-inch end mill holders, collet chucks, and Weldon-style side-lock holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. Intended for cutting high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel workpieces as noted in the product specifications.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Verify the holder bore is clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Torque the set screw against the Weldon flat per the toolholder manufacturer specifications to prevent slippage during cutting.
