The CLEVELAND C32610 is a 4-flute cobalt square end mill designed for demanding metal-removal applications in ferrous and high-temperature alloy materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel and finished with a TiCN coating, this tool delivers extended tool life and heat resistance in interrupted cuts and continuous feeds alike. The 0.125 inch cutting diameter pairs with a 0.375 inch length of cut, a 0.375 inch straight-cylindrical or Weldon flat shank, and a 2.3125 inch overall length. The 30-degree spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting design allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole.
This end mill is intended for machining high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and general steel workpieces. It fits production and job-shop environments where small-diameter finish milling, slotting, and profiling are performed on CNC machining centers or manual knee mills. The HGC-4C series is suited to applications where carbide is cost-prohibitive or where tool toughness against shock loading is a priority over maximum hardness. Its regular-length geometry makes it appropriate for standard-depth pockets and contour passes without the deflection risk of extended-reach tooling.
Designed for use in 0.375 inch end mill holders, collet chucks, or Weldon-flat set-screw holders accepting a 0.375 inch shank. Primary workpiece materials are high-temperature alloys, stainless steel, and steel as designated by material codes M, P, and S.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician following standard CNC or manual mill setup procedures. Ensure the spindle is at a complete stop and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the holder and torque set screws to the holder manufacturer specification when using a Weldon flat holder. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting, particularly at this small diameter where even minor runout accelerates tool wear and degrades surface finish.
