The CLEVELAND C16534 is a wire gauge size 32 jobber-length drill bit designed for demanding drilling applications in hard and abrasive materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with a gold oxide finish, the C16534 delivers heat resistance and extended tool life compared to standard HSS bits. The 135-degree split point reduces walking and axial thrust at entry, making it effective on curved, sloped, and hard surfaces. A parabolic flute geometry improves chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during deep drilling. This bit is sized at 0.1160 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2.75 inches and a flute length of 1.625 inches. It is sized and finished for use by machinists, pipefitters, HVAC technicians, and general trade professionals working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The C16534 is engineered for use on cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and carbon steel workpieces. The parabolic flute and web-thinned, tapered web design make it well suited for production drilling and maintenance applications where tool life and hole quality in tough materials are priorities. The straight cylindrical shank fits standard drill chucks without adapters. This is a Series 2075 bit conforming to ASME B94.11M and DIN 338 standards, sold individually.
Designed for use in standard drill chucks accepting a 0.1160-inch straight cylindrical shank. Suitable for drilling cast iron, non-ferrous metals, stainless steel, and carbon steel. Fits any chuck in the appropriate size range without modification.
Installation and use should be performed by qualified machinists or trade professionals familiar with rotating cutting tools. Secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and confirm the drill press or hand drill is powered off and locked out before changing bits. Use appropriate cutting fluid when drilling stainless steel or cast iron to manage heat and extend bit life. Do not exceed the recommended RPM range for the bit diameter and workpiece material combination.
