The CLEVELAND C15910 is a cobalt jobber length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding materials. Built from M42 cobalt high-speed steel with an oxide coating, this bit handles superalloys, stainless steel, and other hard-to-machine workpieces where standard HSS tooling fails prematurely. The 135-degree split point reduces walking and decreases thrust required to start a hole, making it well-suited for production and maintenance drilling. At 2.625 inches overall length with a 0.875-inch flute length, it fits standard drill chucks and CNC setups alike. The fast spiral flute design promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during extended cuts.
This bit is intended for professionals drilling superalloys, hardened steels, stainless, and similarly tough materials in aerospace, industrial maintenance, and heavy fabrication environments. Wire gauge No. 35 corresponds to a decimal diameter of 0.1100 inches, placing it in a common size range for tapping pilot holes, precision clearance holes, and detailed metalwork. It conforms to ASME B94.11M and carries NAS specification designation, making it appropriate for work held to those standards.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cobalt drill bit for applications requiring a No. 35 wire gauge size at 0.1100 inches diameter, compatible with any standard drill chuck or CNC spindle accepting a straight-cylindrical shank of 0.1100 inches diameter.
This bit is installed and operated by machinists, toolroom technicians, and maintenance mechanics using standard drill presses, CNC machining centers, or handheld power drills. Always secure the workpiece firmly before drilling and use appropriate cutting fluid or coolant when drilling superalloys or hardened steels to extend tool life. Note that this bit does not support coolant-through delivery. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machinery guarding requirements when operating rotary cutting tools.
